Job Summary

Buffalo City Diesel is seeking a motivated and skilled Full-Time Technician to join our team. As a technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, specializing in diesel and heavy-duty trucks. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust vehicle components and systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
  • Conduct road tests to ensure repaired vehicles are functioning properly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle problems and repairs needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to problem solve and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in diesel technology and attend training programs as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an diesel technician or similar role.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty truck systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • ASE certifications preferred, but not required.
